Pimples, acne or sebaceous cysts, all are unpleasant and painful but the blind pimples or the under the skin pimples are more so because it is near the nerves deep within your skin. If you feel pain and swelling on your chin, nose or behind the ears, you should become ready for a red pimple that can now burst anytime through the surface of your skin. For the time being, you can only see a slightly pink area of inflamed skin there. While nose and behind the ears are the most common areas where under the skin pimples develop, they can form anywhere on the surface of your face. The causes for these blind pimples are similar to the other types of pimples and acne which are overactive sebaceous glands. These glands produce excess oil which leads to clogged pores that trap dust and then become a thriving ground for bacteria.

The golden saying goes- Prevention is better than cure! Why go through all the pain and irritation you get from the pimples under the skin. Why not prevent them from developing at all. Here are the ways as to how you should prevent blind pimples from developing under your skin.
- Avoid stress because it causes hormonal imbalance in your body. This, in turn, leads to acne and pimple. Reducing stress will certainly help avoid breakout of blind pimples.
- Sleep well because sleeping heals your body and its painful conditions, blind pimples being one of them.
- Exercise regularly because when you are physically active, you help increase blood flow inside your body. Blood carries oxygen and nutrients to your body cells to keep them healthy and disease free. It also contributes to flushing off toxins out of your body.
- Drink enough water to keep your body hydrated and to keep off the toxins. Lack of water in the body leads to various complications in your body that may lead to blind pimples as well. It is proven that proper hydration improves skin elasticity and helps flush out impurities to make your skin glow.
- Have healthy and nutrient-rich foods, especially fish oils and vitamin E. They stop inflammation and have a positive effect on healthy cell growth.
- Other than fish oil and vitamin E, have lots of fruits and green veggies. Antioxidants that you get from them have anti-inflammatory effects and help keep toxins out of your body.
- Avoid having heavy fried or fatty foods. Including proteins, lean meats and complex carbohydrates to make your skin healthy. A healthy diet reduces the chances of having pimples including blind pimples.
- Never squeeze your pimples with your fingernails or fingertips. This may damage your skin leading to scars.
- Never use hot water on your skin. Always use warm water, even if doing so for some home remedy like when giving warm compress to your skin with a blind pimple.
- Always keep your skin clean. Use a gentle cleanser to cleanse your skin every morning and night without fail. Dirt in your pores may lead to pimples. A cleanser with a blend of pure essential oils and natural ingredients help your skin rejuvenate.
- Gently exfoliate your skin regularly. Use some mild exfoliator or the natural ones like baking soda and water paste. Exfoliate while rubbing in gentle circles. This eliminates excess oil and dead cells that not only lead to pimples but also make them worse if you already have pimples on your skin. Exfoliate your skin once or twice a week.
- If you have been suggested to use toothpaste to get rid of a blind pimple, you should know that this is not at all a good thing to do. This popular remedy for a blind pimple in form of toothpaste might be useful for some people but in many cases, toothpaste causes irritation to the skin. This may make a pimple under the skin even worse.
If even after taking all the preventive measures and following various home remedies for blind pimples, you do not get rid of the under the skin pimples, you must visit a dermatologist to diagnose the underlying cause for your recurring blind pimples.
